A country cottage, discreetly situated towards the end of a no through road just 1 mile outside Beaminster, The Old Cheesehouse is a pretty stone house with fabulous views over the countryside. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, a large farmhouse kitchen with a Rayburn and double height beamed sitting room with a wood burner and underfloor heating, The Old Cheesehouse makes a wonderful holiday house at any time of year.
A rural retreat, we have miles of footpaths and bridleways from the front door. Beaminster is just an easy 1 mile walk with lovely places to eat, shops to browse and even a donkey walking experience! You can bring up to 2 dogs, and do ask if you'd like a riding holiday as we have some stabling for your horse or pony.
Venturing further afield, Bridport has a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays and West Bay has the vibrant harbour and lots of fish 'n' chips - watch out for the seagulls! The coastal walks are magnificent, but do take care as there are regular rock falls. Fossil hunting can be very rewarding along the Jurassic Coast, but sometimes it can be fun to get off shore and take a boat trip.
